Originally from Saline, Michigan, I earned my bachelor's degree in Technical Communication from Eastern Michigan University in April 2010. My wife and I moved to West Lafayette, IN later that year and both graduated from Purdue University with Master's degrees in August 2013. I decided to continue on in the Rhetoric and Composition program at Purdue in fall 2013 and received my Doctorate in August 2018. That summer I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where I live with my wife and son. Beyond academia, my interests include cooking vegan cuisine, traveling, running, camping and hiking (especially around the Great Lakes and the Pacific Northwest), playing board and card games, listening to vinyl records, and over-analyzing movies.
